Brashear and Knox County squared off Friday at the Canton field to determine the Class 1 District 11 champion. The Lady Tigers struck for a run in the 3rd, then extended their lead to 2-0 over Knox County with another run in the 5th. Three more runs in the 6th and one in the seventh completed the scoring as Brashear blanked Knox County 6-0. Meredith Thomas, Shelby Salter, Katie Smith, Alexa Acton, and Alli Garrett had hits for Brashear. Devin Gudehus, Rachel Poston, Lauren Dale, Sara Dooley, and Mackenzie Hustead had hits for Knox County. Cierra Hines picked up the win striking out 8 with Rachel Poston taking the loss striking out 3. Brashear advances to Sectional play Wednesday where they will face Bevier, winner of District 12.
