Friday night, the Brashear Tigers hosted the Green City Gophers JH basketball teams. In the girls game, Brashear jumped out to a 13-5 lead after one quarter and continued to outscore Green City every quarter of the game to claim a 33-9 victory. For Brashear, Abby Kerby, Abby Hall, Allison Thompson, and Caitlee Hall scored 6 points each, Skylar Housman had 5, and Erin Bradshaw and Kylie Williams scored 2 points each. For Green City, Taylor Musselman scored 4 points, Nikita Powell and Sammy Banner had 2 points each, and Natalie Ayers scored 1 point.

The Green City boys jumped out to a 16-5 lead after 1 quarter, but Brashear closed the gap to 22-12 at halftime. It was all Green City in the 2nd half as they led 42-22 after 3 quarters and won by a score of 54-28. For Brashear, Gabe Thomas and Jacob Reeves both scored 6, Chance Hill scored 5, Colt Acton scored 4, Patrick Jochimsen scored 3, and Tyler Findling and Marshall Goff both scored 2. For Green City Hadley Williams scored 10, Bradley Heath, Jacob Chase, and Carter King each scored 8 points, Keagan Franey scored 7, Jarrett McCarty scored 5, Kerby Barnes scored 4, Wes Straley scored 2, and Derek Reger and Zach Ayers both scored 1 point.
