The Brashear girls met LaPlata in first round tournament action Tuesday. Both teams struggled offensively in the 1st quarter, but LaPlata's press finally provided some scoring giving them a 7-2 lead after one quarter of play. LaPlata continued to outscore Brashear in the 2nd quarter extending their lead to 20-12 at halftime. The 2nd half was all LaPlata as they outscored Brashear 17-9 in the third quarter and 7-1 in the 4th quarter to claim a 44-22 victory. Shelby Salter scored 11 points for Brashear, Allison Thompson had 4, Meredith Thomas and Chandi March had 3 points each, and Olivia Thompson scored 1 point. For LaPlata, Rachel Shahan scored 21 points, Morgan Kimmel, Hannah Larson, Makay Belt, and Jen McIntyre had 4 each, Molly Safley had 3, and Taylor Snodgrass and Mallory Eitel scored 2 points each.

In the other girls' game, Milan downed Atlanta 65-27. In boys' games, Novinger topped Bevier 66-25 and Green City beat Atlanta 76-61.
