Bevier at Brashear January 13, 2012

Friday night, the Bevier Lady Wildcats ran the floor well and took advantage of cold shooting by the Lady Tigers to take a 14-8 lead after one quarter and a 26-15 lead into halftime. Bevier maintained their lead and were up 41-31 after 3 quarters. Bevier then outscored Brashear 14-9 in the 4th to win 55-40. Katie Smith and Meredith Thomas scored 12 points each for Brashear, Chandi March had 6, and Olivia Thompson and Shelby Salter scored 5 points each. For Bevier, Valle Wilson scored 16 points, Tayler Hedworth had 11, Dominica Prokup and Beth Ashenfelter scored 10 each, and Cheyenne Shelmadine scored 8 points.

Bevier jumped out to an early lead in the boys game also. Even though Bevier led 18-7 after one quarter, Brashear stormed back pulling within 27-25 at halftime. The second half was all Bevier as the Wildcats pulled away to a 49-35 lead after 3 quarters and won 69-48. Hayden Housman scored 20 points for Brashear, Taren Treasure added 14, Joe Clarkson had 7, Joseph Woods had 4, and Jacob Reeves scored 3 points. For Bevier, Brett Peukert scored 30 points, Andrew Peter and Aaron Peter scored 11 each, Jesse Ashenfelter had 8, McKenzy Pipes had 5, and Jean Fiquet scored 4 points.
