Green City Baseball at Brashear April 9, 2012

Monday night's baseball game between Green City and Brashear looked like a defensive battle in the early going. Green City got on the scoreboard with a run in the top of the 2nd, and another in the top of the 3rd. Brashear answered in the bottom of the 3rd as Nick Bradshaw led off with a single, and came home as a Nick Gordon fly ball was mis-played in the outfield. Green City scored 3 more runs in the 4th, but Brashear tied the score at 5-5 in the bottom of the 4th. Both pitchers began to stuggle in the 4th, and Green City pushed across 10 runs in the top of the fifth to claim a 15-5 win. Hayden Housman had a pair of hits for Brashear with Nick Bradshaw and Sam Smith also having hits. For Green City, Brundage hit a grand slam home run, and McCarty, Johnson, Powell, Williams, Killgore, Verrott, and Kensy had hits. Nick Bradshaw got the start for Brashear with Gabe Thomas pitching in relief. Brundage got the start for Green City.
