North Shelby Baseball at Brashear April 10, 2012

Brashear pitcher Hayden Housman put North Shelby's leadoff hitter behind the eight ball with 2 quick strikes, but bad luck took over as the third pitch of the game struck the hitter and opened the gates for a North Shelby 3-run first. Brashear got a run of their own in the bottom of the 1st as Housman hit a leadoff single and Sam Smith drove him home. North Shelby got another run in the top of the third, but Brashear answered to keep the Tigers within 2. North Shelby added 2 in the 4th and another in the 5th, but Brashear added a pair in the 4th, a pair in the 5th, and a single run in the 6th to knot the game at 7-all. An error in the top of the 7th put North Shelby back on top and they held on for an 8-7 win. Hayden Housman and Nick Bradshaw had 3 hits each for Brashear, Gabe Thomas and Nick Gordon had 2 hits each, and Sam Smith had a hit. For North Shelby, Jackson and Miles had 2 hits each, and Stoneburner, Trenhaile, Rich, and Gander had hits. Hayden Housman got the start for Brashear with Luke Morrow pitching in relief. Stoneburner and Arnott pitched for North Shelby.
