The Lady Tigers got on the scoreboard in the top of the 1st as Meredith Thomas and Alexa Acton drew walks and scored. Novinger answered with a run in the 1st, three in the 2nd, one in the 3rd and four in the 4th to lead 9-2. Shelby Salter ignited an 8-run 5th for Brashear with a 3-run homer. The Lady Tigers added another run in the 6th and sealed the 16-9 win with 5 runs in the seventh. Meredith Thomas, Ashley Moncrief, Alexa Acton, Shelby Salter, Allie Garrett, and Sydney Sykes had hits for Brashear. Jacques, Blackorby, May, and Eads had hits for Novinger. The baseball game was decided early as Novinger's Klingsmith and Garzanalli homered in the 1st and Smith added another homerun in the 2nd to stake Novinger to a 8-1 lead after 2 innings of play. Brashear got on the scoreboard in the 2nd as Nick Bradshaw drew a leadoff walk and Lucas Grgurich drove him in. Brashear's other run came in the 3rd as Curtis Blakely singled and Luke Morrow brought him home. Novinger added 6 more runs in the 4th to win 14-2. Curtis Blakely and Lucas Grgurich each singled for Brashear. Smith, Klingsmith, and Garzanalli homered for Novinger with Daniels, Tade, Brownell, and Reardon also having hits. Nick Bradshaw took the loss for Brashear with Klingsmith picking up the win for Novinger.
