The Brashear Lady Tigers softball team traveled to Green City Thursday for their last regular season game before districts. Brashear leadoff hitter Meredith Thomas drove the ball through the right side of the Green City infield, then circled the bases putting Brashear ahead 1-0. Ashley Moncrief walked, then Shelby Salter hit a homerun over the left fielder's head putting Brashear up 3-0. Green City scored a run in the 2nd, but it was all Brashear as the Lady Tigers went on to win 17-1. Other Brashear batters having hits included Mandy Taylor, Alli Garrett, Audrey DeBie, Abby Kerby, Sidney Sykes, Erin Bradshaw, and Angela McKim. Heaton, and Mollie had hits for Green City. Alexa Acton picked up the win for Brashear allowing 2 hits and striking out 3. Heaton took the loss for Green City.
