The Brashear Lady Tigers faced Novinger in the Green City 3rd place game Friday. Brashear got on the board first and held the lead most of the way despite it being a very low scoring game. Novinger finally caught up and tied the game at 12-12 with 16 seconds left to play. Brashear brought the ball up the court and called time out with 4 seconds left. The Lady Tigers then executed an inbound play lobbing the ball across to the weak side of the lane for a buzzer beating layup to win 14-12. Saydie Potter and Caitlee Hall each scored 4 points for Brashear with Abigail Kerby and Kylie Williams scoring 3 point each. For Novinger Haley Rogers and Jenna Klingsmith had 4 each and Miranda Middleton scored 2 points.

The boys 3rd place game was between Brashear and LaPlata. LaPlata jumped out to a 19-10 1st quarter lead and never looked back as they outdistanced Brashear 46-13 to take the 3rd place trophy. For Brashear, Brody Henrichs, Marshall Goff, and Colt Acton scored 4 points each and Patrick Jochimson scored 1 point. Logan Smith led LaPlata scoring with 10 points, Ben Bolden had 9, Mitch Cox added 6, Bobby Jett had 4, and Hank Nash, Trevor Pipes, Logan Curtis, and Zachary Fleak scored 2 points each.

LaPlata girls took 1st place with a 31-21 win over Green City and the Green City boys took 1st with a 32-24 win over Novinger.
