Mary Immaculate 7-8 Grade Basketball at Brashear October 22, 2012
The Mary Immaculate Hawks visited Brashear Monday for a pair of basketball games. The Lady Tigers got off to a quick start and led Mary Immaculate 16-1 after one quarter and 22-4 at halftime. Brashear kept up the pace in the 2nd half and won by a final score of 35-9. Caitlee Hall scored 14 points for Brashear, Kacie Mihalovich added 12, Hailey Lawrence, Mechelia Potter, Celia Kincaid, and Saydie Potter had 2 each, and Hannah Reeves scored 1 point. For Mary Immaculate, Adriene Cole scored 5 points, Annie Schwend had 3, and Abby Kuttenkuler scored 1 point.
The Brashear boys got on the scoreboard early and led the Hawks 8-1 after one quarter and 20-3 at halftime. The Tigers had another big quarter in the 3rd and led 32-7 on their way to a 37-11 win. Devin Morrinson scored 10 points for Brashear, Colt Acton had 8, Jacob Bleything and Tyler Watson had 6 each, Christian Gaugh and Travis Nilson had 2 each, and Ty Gottman scored 1 point. For Mary Immaculate, Joey Hagar scored 4 points, Alex Herlith had 3, and Nick Maag and Matt Schwend scored 2 points each.
