Bevier JH Basketball at Brashear October 23, 2012

The Bevier Wildcats and Brashear Tigers met in Brashear Tuesday night. In the girls game, it was very close in the early going as Bevier led 10-8 after one quarter and Brashear led 17-15 at halftime. Brashear outscored Bevier 12-2 in a pivotal 3rd quarter and held on to win 37-27. Caitlee Hall and Saydie Potter were in double figures for Brashear with 11 and 10 points, Kylie Williams added 8, and Abigail Kerby and Sidney Sykes scored 4 points each. For Bevier, Caiti Bradley scored 21 points, and Karissa Harrington, Scout Foster, and Casey Downey scored 2 points each.

The Bevier boys got the fast start and led Brashear 17-2 after one quarter and 24-10 at the half. Brashear continued to struggle offensively in the 2nd half and Bevier picked up the win 45-13. For Brashear, Jacob Bleything scored 5 points, Colt Acton and Marshall Goff had 3 each, and Patrick Jochimsen scored 2 points. Bevier was paced by Luciano Lenzini and Tony Humphrey with 11 points each, Cameron Shaw had 10, Luke Long had 5, Izek Ferguson had 3, Nick Williams and Cody Shaver had 2 each, and Garret Bailey scored 1 point.
