Brashear played host to Knox County Tuesday night for a varsity/jv double-header. Knox County got on the scoreboard in the top of the 1st as Lauren Dale drew a 2-out walk and was driven in by Amy Gudehus. The Lady Eagles scored twice more in the top of the 2nd to take a 3-0 lead. The big breakthrough for Knox County came in the 5th as they added another 4 runs. Meanwhile, Brashear went 1-2-3 in the 1st before Alexa Acton led off the bottom of the 2nd with a walk. She ended up stranded on base as was Ashley Moncrief who reached on an error in the 4th. Meredith Thomas drew a walk in the 6th, and Sidney Sykes walked in the 5th and 7th, but Brashear couldn't score them and Knox County took home an 8-0 win. While Brashear went hitless, Knox County's Paige Couch, Madison McCabe, Amy Gudehus and Sky Bugh had multiple-hit games. Alexa Acton took the loss for Brashear. Lauren Dale picked up the victory for Knox County, throwing 7 innings of shutout, no-hit ball, striking out 13. Knox County also won the JV game 6-5.
