The Brashear Lady Tigers were on the road Thursday to visit the Canton Lady Tigers. Brashear managed got back to back 2-out hits from Meredith Thomas and Mandy Taylor, but couldn't bring them in. Canton was no more productive in their half of the 1st going 1-2-3. Alli Garrett drew a walk in the top of the 2nd and later scored to give Brashear a 1-0 lead. Canton quickly answered in the bottom of the 2nd, plating 5 runs on their way to an 11-1 home win. Ashley Moncrief, Skylar Housman, Meredith Thomas, Mandy Taylor, Sidney Sykes, and Abigail Kirby had hits for Brashear. McKinolry, Crenshaw, Rarick, Hoewing, Berhorst, Carper, and Gaither had hits for Canton. Alexa Acton and Sidney Sykes pitched for Brashear. Carper pitched for Canton. Brashear won the JV game 6-5.
