Brashear Baseball and Softball at Atlanta September 30, 2013

The Brashear Tiger baseball and softball teams visited the Atlanta Hornets Monday night for a pair of Tri-County Conference games. Brashear started things off with a pair of runs in the top of the 1st in the softball game, but Atlanta quickly countered with 5 runs in the bottom of the 1st. Brashear put up 5 more runs in the top of the 2nd to retake the lead and then added 3 in the 3rd, 3 in the 5th, and 1 in the 7th to win 14-8. Meredith Thomas, Ashley Moncrief, Alexa Acton, Allie Garrett, Angela McKim, Abi Kerby, and Skylar Housman had hits for Brashear. Reed, Ross, Collier, and Dunham had hits for Atlanta. Alexa Acton pitched for Brashear and Reed pitched for Atlanta.

The Atlanta baseball team got off to a quick start, posting 5 runs in the 1st and 5 runs in the 2nd on their way to a 14-1 victory. Brashear's lone run came in the 2nd as Luke Morrow walked, stole 2nd, and then scored on a pickoff attempt that sent the ball into center field. Atlanta's West, Baker, Weber, Waddle, and Halley had hits. Atlanta's West threw a no-hitter. Chance Hill, Gabe Thomas, and Jacob Bleything pitched for Brashear.
