The Green City Gophers came to Brashear Friday for JH Basketball. In the girls' game, Green City held a slim 6-4 lead after one quarter, but extended their lead to 14-4 at halftime. Green City had a big 2nd half, scoring 26 points to defeat Brashear by a score of 40-10. Caitlee Hall scored 4 points for Brashear, with Kacie Mihalovich, Hailey Lawrence, and Sayde Potter having 2 points each. For Green City, Taylor Musselman scored 20 points, S. Dolan added 7, Rachel Search and Rayanna Smith had 4 each, Nicole Embree and Kelsy Davis had 2 each, and D. Lunsford scored 1 point.

In the boys' game, Green City got off to a fast start, scoring 28 points in the 1st quarter on their way to a 61-10 win. Ty Gottman, Colton Sayre, Wyatt Potter, and Levi Blankenship scored 2 points each for Brashear with Zane Sykes and Nate Stewart having 1 point each. For Green City, Marshall Lunsford scored 12 points, Nathan Chase had 10, Ryan Peavler had 9, Devin Fields and Michael Hall scored 6 each, Camden Williams, Thomas Watt, Jeff Featherston, and Tyler Tipton had 4 each, and Corby DeJong scored 2 points.
