Meadville JH Basketball at Brashear November 4, 2013

Meadville visited Brashear Monday for a pair of Junior High basketball games. The Meadville girls took an early 6-4 lead after one quarter and were up 15-10 at the half. Brashear began to rally in the 4th quarter, eventually pulling within 1 point, but Meadville held on for the 32-26 win. Caitlee Hall scored 9 points for Brashear, Robbyn Wagster and Hailey Lawrence had 4 each, Harli Mihalevich had 3, and Kacie Mihalovich, Mechelia Potter, and Saydie Potter scored 2 points each. For Meadville, Kellie Hamilton scored 16 points, Karlin Fairchild, Madison Ryan, and Mackenzie Dennis had 4 each, and Shelby Holder scored 2 points.

The Meadville boys took an 18-7 lead after one quarter and were up 26-11 at halftime. Meadville outscored Brashear 8-5 in the 3rd, but Brashear managed to match Meadville 6-6 in the final quarter giving Meadville a 40-22 win. Tristan Morrison scored 8 points for Brashear, Colton Sayre added 6, and Levi Blankenship, Wyatt Potter, Ty Gottman, and Aden Zentz scored 2 points each. For Meadville, Derek Burkhholder scored 22 points, Jordan Schmitz had 7, Clayton Raymo and Dillon Seckington had 4 each, and Keith Herring and Will Stone scored 2 points each.
