The Brashear junior high basketball teams kicked off their seasons at the Green City Tournament last Thursday. The girls faced host Green City who came out pressing and playing some tough defense. The Green City pressure allowed them to take a 14-0 lead after one quarter and a 26-0 lead at halftime. Brashear finally got on the scoreboard in the 4th quarter with a 3 point shot by Harli Mihalevich as Brashear fell to Green City by a score of 44-3.
The boys also faced Green City and fared little better than the girls as they trailed 21-2 after one quarter and 35-4 at the half. Green City added another 25 points in the 2nd half to Brashear's 2 points to claim a 60-6 victory. Wyatt Potter had 4 points for Brashear with Zane Sykes adding 2 points.
