INCLEMENT WEATHER
As
the winter season approaches, we are reminding parents and students to listen
to the local media stations to check on “early dismissals” and/or “no school”
bulletins. This information will be
given to KTVO television, KHQA television, WGEM television, KIRX radio, KTUF
radio, KRXL radio, KRES radio of Moberly, KMEM radio of Memphis, and KZBK radio
of Brookfield. These stations will
present dismissal information as soon as decisions have been made. Please do not call the school.
TIGER PRIDE NEWS
Due to state funding cuts to education this
year, and the possibility of much deeper cuts next year, the school board has
had to make some very tough financial decisions. While Tiger Pride is very beneficial, a decision has been made to
discontinue the program at the end of the first semester. It has been costing about $1,000 more in
expenses per month than revenues coming in.
We want to give parents time to make other
arrangements for before/after school care after Christmas. Again, this was a tough decision to make but
something that had to be done in these tough economic times.
