TIGER PRIDE
Congratulations
to Aden Zentz on being selected to represent our school at the Hugh O’Brian
Youth Leadership Conference this summer.
Also, congratulations to Levi Blankenship on being selected as our alternate.
Congratulations
to Megan McHenry for representing our school and Adair County in the American
Legion Oratorical Contest. Megan
delivered a speech at the county level contest in December and advanced to the First District Contest in
Palmyra in January.
Congratulations
to the 5th and 6th grade academic teams that had an awesome season this
year. They practiced every Monday and
Thursday afternoon in order to prepare themselves for two tournaments in
January. They traveled to the Tournament
of the Minds in Edina on January 20th where the 6th grade team earned 2nd
place. Both teams then competed in the SPRINT tournament in Memphis
on January 21st. Both teams qualified
to compete in the afternoon bracket at this tournament and had to play against
each other. The 6th grade ended the
season with a 3rd place finish. Fifth
grade team members included Lacey Fisher, Austin Ray, Deyton White, and Rhett
Whitlow. Sixth grade team members
included Landon Fisher, Wesley
McGinnis, Aden Shahan, and Avery Zentz.
Special thanks to sponsor Ms. Kincaid for a very successful season and
to Austin Ray for helping coach!
