ELECTION NEWS
This year
two candidates have filed for the two available positions on the Adair County
R-II School Board.
Those who
have filed include incumbents James A. Reeves and Duayne Housman.
The
district will not hold an election since the number of candidates
who have filed for the Board is equal to the number of positions available.
YEARBOOK SALES
The 71st
edition of the BHS yearbook is on sale for $30.
Personalized
yearbooks are still available for an additional $5. Please make your check payable to Adair County R-II School.
PENNIES FOR PATIENTS
Brashear
Schools will be participating in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Pennies
for Patients program February 4
through February 22. This service
learning program gives students the unique experience of working together to
help raise awareness and funds in honor of thousands of children and adults
fighting against blood cancers!
We are asking that everyone (students, faculty, parents, alumni, etc.) at
Brashear Schools join in this effort of raising awareness and collecting funds
to benefit the mission of LLS: to
find cures for blood cancers and to improve the quality of life for patients
and their families. Together we can
reach our goal of $600!
DISTRICT
REPORT CARD AVAILABLE
State law
(Section 160.522, RSMo) requires the Department of Elementary and Secondary
Education to publish an annual “report card” about each school district, each
school building, and each charter school in the state. The reports are designed to satisfy state
and federal requirements for the disclosure of statistics about students,
staff, finances, academic achievement, and other indicators. The information is compiled from data reported to the Department by local school
districts.
The 2018
district report card is now available at:
https://apps.dese.mo.gov/MCDS/home.aspx. Simply Locate District Adair Co. R-II -
001092, select Report Card from the left hand menu, and then click
on District Report Card. School
year 2018 should already be populated.
If you
would like a copy of this report card, contact the district office at 323-5272.
Parents are reminded that children should not be sent to
school if they have vomited and/or are running a fever. There must be a 24-hour rest period. Help
stop the spread of germs.
