ACCELERATED SCHOOL NEWS

The Reading Cadre has been meeting and discussing all aspects of the elementary reading program. The group surveyed parents, teachers and students to see where our problems might be, if any. After reviewing the data we came up with two ideas that the cadre would like to try. First of all, we would like to have a book drive. If you have any old books that might not be useful to you any more, we would be glad to take them off your hands. Please just drop them off at school. We are also asking for some good volunteers. We need people to listen to children read and to read to children. If you could spare some free time we would appreciate the help. The more children read or are read to the better they become. Please contact Ann DeRosear at (660) 323-5272 and she will help you set up your times.

The School Climate Cadre is looking at the following concerns: bus behavior, discipline, school facilities and citizenship. They will also be conducting a survey to gather data.

Check the calendar for dates and times. The public is invited to all of our matches.

They will play Novinger on Wednesday, February 28 at 9:00 p.m. They are currently 21-4 on the season.

The girls basketball team finished 3rd in the Brashear Tournament with a 51-50 win over Clark County JV.
