FBLA WILL SEND 15 MEMBERS TO SLC

Congratulations to the following FBLA members who placed at the District Contest held February 6 at the First Baptist Church in Kirksville.  These students have qualified to attend the FBLA State Leadership Conference April 8-10 at the University Plaza Hotel and Convention Center in Springfield, MO:  Hannah Reeves, Leah Grissom and Ty Gottman, 1st Place in Business Ethics; Hannah Reeves, 2nd Place in  Business Calculations; Tanna Garlock, 1st Place in Introduction to Financial Math, 3rd Place in Introduction to Information Technology, and 4th Place in Introduction to Business Communication; Madeline McGinnis, 1st Place in Introduction to Public Speaking and 2nd Place in Introduction to FBLA; John Gerhold, 1st Place in Introduction to Business and 2nd Place in AgriBusiness;  Noah Reeves, 1st Place in Introduction to Information Technology; Celia Kincaid, 1st Place in Organizational Leadership; Aden Zentz, 2nd Place in Economics; Austin Ray, 4th Place in Introduction to Information Technology; Kami McGinnis, 4th Place in AgriBusiness; and Leah Grissom, 5th Place in Organizational Leadership.  Callie Althide, Hannah Grissom, Alexa Higgins and Megan McHenry placed high enough with their scores to earn wild card entries at the state competition.

 

Congratulations also to the following students who placed at FBLA District Contest: Morgan Magruder, 3rd Place in Client Service; Megan McHenry, Justin McHenry and Wyatt Potter, 4th Place in Emerging Business Issues; and Aden Zentz, Zane Sykes and Garrett Housman, 4th Place in Sports and Entertainment Management.

 

TIGER PRIDE

 

Our high school basketball teams recently completed their winter seasons.  The Lady Tigers finished the season 19–7 overall and 5-3 in conference.  The Tigers finished the season 7–17 overall and 3–5 in conference.  Averi Acton was named to the Tri-County All-Conference First Team.  Alexa Higgins was named to the Tri-County All-Conference Second Team.  Hannah Reeves and Garrett Housman were named to the Tri-County All-Conference Honorable Mention Teams.  Averi Acton and Garrett Housman were also named to the Class 1 District 11 All-District teams.

 

Congratulations to Wyatt Potter for earning 1st chair alto saxophone in the Truman State University Honor Band.

 

Our 7-12 band will be traveling to the University of Missouri St. Louis to perform with the UMSL Wind Ensemble on March 14 at the Touhill Performing Arts Center.  The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m.

 

Congratulations to the 7th grade Academic Team on winning 1st place at the North Shelby Academic Bowl Tournament.

 

BLOOD DRIVE

 

The American Red Cross and Adair County R-II School will be sponsoring a blood drive on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 from 2:00-6:30 p.m. at the Keller Building.

BREAKFAST/LUNCH MENU

 

Breakfast each day includes fruit, juice and milk. Students may choose cereal instead of the breakfast item offered. The following items are     offered daily for students to choose from in lieu of the lunch entrée: yogurt or a WOWBUTTER® (peanut  butter replacement) and jelly sandwich.

 

March 1-2

Thursday: Cinnamon roll/Chicken patty, macaroni & cheese, peas, pears, pudding, milk

Friday: Long john, yogurt/Pizza, chips & cheese, corn, applesauce, rice krispie treat, milk

 

March 5-9

Monday: Waffle, syrup,   sausage/Hot pocket, tater tots, peas, mandarin oranges, cookie, milk

Tuesday: Breakfast pizza/Tacos, lettuce, refried beans, peaches, brownie, milk

Wednesday: Cheese omelet, toast/Tenderloin, cheesy potatoes, baked beans, pineapple, rice krispie treat, milk

Thursday: French toast sticks, syrup/Chicken nuggets, macaroni & cheese, peas, pears, pumpkin bar, milk

Friday: Sausage, egg, cheese, biscuit/Garlic pizza bread, ravioli, corn, apple-sauce, ice cream, milk

 

March 12-16

Monday: Biscuits & gravy/Corn dog, potato wedges, peas, mandarin oranges, cookie, milk

Tuesday: Scrambled eggs, bacon, toast/Spaghetti, cottage cheese, carrots, pine-apple, pudding, milk

Wednesday: Pancake,    syrup, sausage/Hamburger, cheesy potatoes, baked beans, pears, cheesecake,  milk

Thursday: Breakfast burrito/Mr. Rib, mashed potatoes, green beans, peaches, banana bread, milk

Friday: Donut, yogurt/Chili cheese dog, fries, corn,      applesauce, rice krispie treat, milk

 

March 19-23

Monday: Breakfast bites, syrup/Nacho pie or sloppy joe, peas, mandarin oranges, cookie, milk

Tuesday: Muffin, bagel/Chicken fajitas, rice, chips, lettuce, strawberries, cake, milk

Wednesday: Bacon and egg breakfast wrap/Sub sandwich, chips & cheese, carrots, peaches, brownie, milk

Thursday: Cereal, oatmeal, breakfast bar/Country fried steak, mashed potatoes, corn, pears, pumpkin bar, milk

Friday: Cinnamon roll/Pizza, chips & cheese, corn, apple-sauce, pudding, milk

 

March 26-30

Monday: Sausage, egg, cheese, biscuit/Grilled cheese, soup, carrots, mandarin oranges, cookie, milk
