ACADEMICS ALIVE UPDATE

The Academics Alive Contest is still in progress. Students, in grades 7-12, throughout the year have earned points for their class by having good attendance, grades, and test scores. They have also been able to earn points by attending tutoring sessions. However, students may also lose points for their class by having deficiency notices, discipline referrals and tardies. Our last round of deficiency slips are due soon. When the numbers have been compiled the contest for this year will be officially over and each class that has met it's goal will earn a pizza party. The class with the highest percentage toward their goal will be given a field trip, tentatively scheduled for May 12. It is not too late for students to make a difference. Please encourage your students to keep their grades and attendance up and come to tutoring if they need help with their homework.

The results of the contest as of the middle of April is as follows:
