CONSTRUCTION UPDATE
The construction project is
moving along at a very fast pace. The
Industrial Arts program has moved into the new facility and renovation of the
1976 addition (previous Industrial Arts shop and classroom) is well under
way. The renovated area will house the
Parents as Teachers, Resource, and Sixth Grade classrooms as well as the
Guidance office, Nurse’s office, and a Faculty Workroom.
We anticipate that this
project will be complete within the next three to four weeks affording us with
adequate time to move into the new facility over the summer break.

April 1 and will continue through May.
This is the 55th edition of the BHS yearbook. The number of yearbooks for the year is limited. Plan to order a yearbook early in order to
reserve a copy for you and your family.
Due to decreasing
advertising revenue and rising yearbook costs, yearbook prices have risen. Personalized yearbooks are no longer
available, however, yearbooks without names may still be purchased. Orders received through April 30 will be
$40. Yearbooks ordered on or after May
1 will be $42. Please make your check
payable to Adair County R-II School.

SUMMER SCHOOL
The Brashear Elementary is
going to offer a Mini-Society Summer School for students currently enrolled in
grades K-4. Classes will begin May 27
and end on June 27, 2003. The school
day will begin at 7:45 a.m. and end at 1:45 p.m.
Due to budget cuts, we will
not be able to offer transportation or incentives this summer. Students will be served lunches using the
same system used during the regular school term. As a result, students should plan to purchase meals or bring a
lunch in the same way they do during the regular school year.
More information will be
coming home with your child. Please
return this information no later than May 15, 2003.
THANK YOU
We would like to take this
opportunity to thank the Brashear Ag Service for their contribution to our
school. We certainly appreciated the
donation of chemical, fertilizer and manpower used to treat our ball field.
CAREERS ON WHEELS
A Careers on Wheels fair
will be held for the preK-6 grade students on May 8. This activity will be held from 9am - 11am around the square in
Brashear. The Careers on Wheels fair is
a fun way for students to learn about many different careers that have
"wheels" with them. Stop by
and enjoy the fun as the students tour the vehicles.
